Oral Histories

The SFA oral history program documents life stories from the American South. Collecting these stories, we honor the people whose labor defines the region.

ORAL HISTORY

Xiomara Maria Osoto

Delicias El Jamo (Algiers Pulga)

In 2010, Xiomara Osoto opened Delicias El Jamo, which features typical Honduran dishes and ample seating that flanks both sides of her kitchen. Osoto chose the name “El Jamo” because it is a type of lizard that represents her region of Olanchito in northern Honduras.
