Eric Jackson
Capsoul Brewing Collective
Eric Jackson is the President and founder of Capsoul Brewing Collective. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Eric comes from a family of five. He grew up in Nashville, TN, and was a creative kid. After going to school at Berea College in Berea, KY, Eric stayed in the area to work as a Catering Manager. He continued working in the hospitality industry in Tennessee and Georgia. Eric started Uncap Everything, a blog about beer and the beer scene, while in Atlanta. Once he moved to Richmond in 2019, Eric expanded the blog to Capsoul Collective, a social media company focusing on beer and culture through a magazine and podcast. One of Capsoul’s first major collaborations was with Väsen Brewing Company in Richmond. They produced Cohesion, a double IPA to commemorate the unity in Richmond in the midst of divisions during the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial reckoning in 2020. Eric and his team at Capsoul focus on the spaces where craft meets culture and are working toward opening a brick-and-mortar brewery that supports the community.
