Wendy Shenefelt

Do Good Fellow Wendy Shenefelt serves as Programs Director for Alternate ROOTS, a Southern-based regional arts service organization and coalition of artists and cultural organizers striving to be allies in the elimination of all forms of oppression. Prior to her tenure at ROOTS, Wendy worked in education and arts administration in Mississippi and community organizing and youth leadership development nationally with the Children’s Defense Fund. A former dancer, current consultant, wannabe writer and Texas Woman’s University alum, Shenefelt splits time between Jackson, Mississippi, and her four-wheeled office traveling across the South.
