Each year, the Southern Foodways Alliance celebrates men and women whose lifework enriches Southern food culture. Seven SFA awards and honors recognize these cultural standard bearers.

2019 Smith Fellow: Korsha Wilson


Korsha Wilson is a food writer and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She is the founder of A Hungry Society, a podcast on Heritage Radio Network dedicated to celebrating and increasing the food world’s diversity. She has spoken at national conferences on the topic of food media and diversity, been a guest on the Carbface for Radio and Racist Sandwich podcasts, and been a featured guest on PBS’s Story in the Public Square and Al Jazeera’s The Stream. She has been published by the likes of The New York Times, Food & Wine, and Bon Appetit.
