Yes, we totally ripped that headline from Eddie Izzard. But it’s Friday afternoon—bear with us.
Laura Lippman—the Atlanta-born, Baltimore-based mystery novelist—is receiving fantastic reviews for her newest book, After I’m Gone. We’re adding it to our spring break reading list. (For those of you who are a little slow on the uptake, this murder mystery is the “death” part of the equation.)
Reading Lippman’s latest review, we were reminded of her contribution to last summer’s Food and Crime issue of Gravy, guest-edited by Jack Pendarvis. For that issue, Lippman shared with us her recipe for Coca-Cola Fudge Cake, which you can find here.
So, what will it be? Cake or death? We suggest you follow Lippman’s lead and indulge in both.
