Vittles Food Film Festival at Lantern Restaurant

Join Lantern Table on Wednesday, February 25th, for an evening of local food films produced by Vittles Films. Cliff’s Meat Market, featured in one of the two new short documentaries, will also be part of the event. Lantern will serve up a Negra Modelo at the door and offer house-made snacks, including Tolo’s famous chorizo.

Proceeds from the event benefit Kitchen Patrol, an after-school cooking program for 4th and 5th graders from Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Each week, a dozen children prepare a simple meal, set the table, and sit down to eat together. This year alone, students have learned to grind sausage, dress salads, make mayonnaise, braise greens, roast vegetables, roll spring rolls, and churn butter.
