July 16-20, 2018, SFA hosted our annual film workshop, led by Pihakis filmmaker Ava Lowrey. We proudly present these three films all recorded, edited, and produced in one week’s time by our workshop participants.

Rachel Greene and Je’Monda Roy produced this short film about Home Place Pastures in Como, Mississippi with production assistance from former film AD Margaret Gaffney, who now works with the Center for the Study of Southern Culture.

Nina Joung and Jonathan Smith profiled Native Son Farm in Tupelo, Mississippi, with assistance from SFA’s summer film intern Nicole Du Bois.
