The SFA documents, studies, and explores the diverse food cultures of the changing American South. At the SFA we collect oral histories and direct films. We educate and mentor students. We publish podcasts, journals, and books. We stage events that serve as national forums for American regional food culture.
For news on the details of what we did this year, just look at this page. We hired a Pihakis film fellow. We shared the Gravy podcast over a quarter million times. And Gravy won the James Beard Award for Best Publication. Our website had incredible traffic, and we produced films and oral histories and events. These things would not happen without your generosity.
The support of SFA members, monetarily and otherwise, cannot be overstated. As you plan your end-of-the-year giving, please consider a donation to the SFA Annual Appeal. The dollars you contribute will support current operational costs and future ventures, and will be receipted as tax-deductible donations by the University of Mississippi Foundation.
