The Southern Foodways Alliance will, beginning in 2014, grant a two-week writing residency each year at the Rivendell Writers’ Colony in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Since 1999, the SFA, an institute of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi, has fed the intellectual curiosities and appetites of the American South. Our body of work has grown to include more than 800 oral histories, 50 films, and a publication catalog of 10 books.
