David Dark is a professor in the College of Theology and Christian Ministry at Belmont University in Nashville. He has written several books analyzing religion and culture in America; they include The Sacredness of Questioning Everything, Everyday Apocalypse: The Sacred Revealed in Radiohead, The Simpsons, and Other Pop Culture Icons and The Gospel According To America: A Meditation on a God-blessed, Christ-haunted Idea.
Dr. Dark delivered a talk at our 2016 Nashville Summer Symposium reflecting on the radical religious culture of Music City, which he argues is rooted in the theology of Reverend Will Campbell. Learn more about Campbell’s legacy with this article by the late John Egerton.
