Food Media South Preview: Tunde Wey

Tunde Wey horizontal

The time of dining as escape is over; the notion of food as art is finished; the era of dining as protest is now.”

Tunde Wey is the force behind the traveling dinner and dialogue series Blackness in America, which he designed to promote black discourse and prioritize black perspectives. At this year’s Food Media South, Wey will explore the political potentialĀ of food in a nation that marginalizes individuals based on race, gender, sexuality, immigration status, and religion.
