SFA Day Camps

Long time SFA member who wants to check out a new place?  New to the crew and want to investigate us without committing major days or dollars?  Then SFA day camps are just for you!  Programming is designed to be just enough to give you SFA’s taste of place, and free time is abundant so you can explore the locale on your own. Staged infrequently, day camps are planned in cahoots with local festivals, so there’s plenty happening while you’re in town.  And, yes, we’ll feed you at least one really fabulous meal.

An SFA day camp requires no tents—we always recommend a headquarters hotel with special discount rates.  We’ll give you a survival guide to map your experiences in the city, with suggested food-friendly itineraries.  We encourage you to arrive early (usually on a Friday) and depart late (Sunday afternoon), so you’ll have time to enjoy meals and excursions on your own.  Transportation is your own responsibility.  For our part, we’ll offer special SFA programming—talks to orient you, events to entertain you, and one really great meal where we can all dine together.
