Applications due Friday, March 31 by 5 p.m.

We have extended the deadline to apply for our 2017 Oral History Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia, July 16-22. The new deadline is March 31, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Geared toward those who are new or moderately new to oral history methods and fieldwork, workshop participants will think critically and creatively about the dissemination of oral histories and the impact recorded narratives have on communities and audiences.

This summer’s workshop will study and document stories along Buford Highway.

The SFA first began documenting stories of Buford Highway in 2010. This year, we begin a new phase of this project with We Love BuHi, a social enterprise that grew out of an Instagram account to document a unique community and share its untold stories. We Love BuHi’s mission is to catalyze and support a livable, inclusive and thriving Buford Highway through storytelling, community building, and advocacy. Learn more about We Love BuHi here.
