Black Lightning

Artist Jonathan Green grew up surrounded by other black people in a community that used moonshine in a variety of beverages as well as for cooking recipes and medicinal purposes. In conversation with poet Kevin Young at our 19th Southern Foodways Symposium, Green discusses black bootlegging and its disappearance from the public imagination.
