These drawings by Emily Wallace appeared in issue #52 of our Gravy quarterly. In keeping with the issue’s “Where We Eat” theme, we asked Emily to illustrate eating establishments across the South whose structures evoke the food they serve. She began with her favorite such building: Hills of Snow, a snow-cone stand in her native Smithfield, NC.
