Thursday, June 21
Afternoon Registration with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begins at 5:00 p.m.
John Egerton Scholar-in-Residence Rebecca Gayle Howell talks Lexington, with dinner led by Ouita Michel following
Friday, June 22
Breakfast is complemented by poetry from Frank X Walker and Rebecca Gayle Howell
Morning presentations by Elizabeth Catte, Janice Fermheimer, and Ronni Lundy precede an SFA Film Block
Alexis Meza curates lunch
After dining, take some time for a self-guided tour created by locals
Convene Friday evening for “In These Fields,” a reprisal of an SFA original performance written by Sam Gleaves and Silas House
The day concludes with a Lexington Chili Bun Supper
Saturday, June 23
To start the day, enjoy breakfast, a Farmers Market Stroll, and poems
Late morning is host to smart talks by Robert Gipe, Edward Lee, and Crystal Wilkinson, as well as an oral history conversation
Black Soil hosts a luncheon, and then you’ll have a few hours for independent exploring
Conclude the weekend with an evening meal at Lexington’s 21c Museum Hotel
